Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at UConn Law A Project of Law Ignite 2016

This year, the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at UConn Law has big plans, including an adoption drive for pets, a movie screening to bring awareness to animal cruelty issues, a talk with Professor Jessica Rubin on Desmond's Law, which allows law students to take part in advocating on behalf of abused animals in court, a Halloween pet photo contest, and more! If we raise more money than we need this year, we will use it for future endeavors, such as sending students to the Animal Law Conference in the Fall of 2017 and to the National Animal Law Competitions in the Spring of 2018. If we don't meet our goal, we will use the money towards smaller events such as movies screenings or talks with professionals in Animal Law.
