Urban Semester Director's Fund A Project of College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Just as the first Boeing 747 was taking off into the blue skies, seven UConn students were beginning a semester long interning experience in Hartford. With those students, the UConn Urban Semester Program was born. Since that fall of 1968, 850+ Urban Semester students have interned in Hartford non-profits and government agencies, giving over 350,000 hours of their time to improving life in the Capital City. Fifty years later, UConn students continue to live, learn, and intern in Hartford.
Gifts to this fund provide student aid and other programmatic needs and expenses for the Urban Studies Program.
