Help us grow the Italian-American Legal Community!

Italian American Law Students Assoc. (ITALSA)

The Italian American Law Student Association (ITALSA) is a professionally oriented organization dedicated to fostering relationships with practicing attorneys and Italian cultural law groups. As one of the youngest student associations on campus ITALSA is emerging as an important piece of the multicultural patchwork at UConn Law. Over the past year the association has grown from a few dedicated students to a group of over 20 individuals. In this year we have expanded our presence on campus as well as off campus with connections to our sister group at Quinnipiac Law and the Connecticut Italian American Bar Association (CIABA). Though focused on Italian American heritage, our members represent a diverse background of heritages whose common thread is a love for Italian culture.

The group has gained much traction over the past year but is still very much in its infancy. As one of the newest groups on campus we have a very limited budget and securing additional funding is paramount to the groups future success and expansion. We hope to use the money raised from this competition for networking events and to host educational events on campus related to Italians in the legal field.

Note: If we raise money beyond what we need for these purposes it will go towards our general costs.
