First Year Programs & Learning Communities
Our goal is to help all first year students achieve success from the start. We provide support, resources, and academic opportunities so that students can become learners with a purpose and a passion. Each student's UConn experience is, or will be, enriched by participating in First Year Programs and Learning Communities.
To our collaborators, FYE instructors, Connects facilitators & Learning communities faculty and staff, during your time at UConn you have been directly connected with First Year Programs, Learning Communities & Academic Support. You can appreciate first hand the value of the opportunities we provide more than anyone else. We now ask you to give to our program so that we can continue to provide powerful experiences to students of all majors.
As our programs and students' needs grow, any size gift you are able contribute will support our efforts. Our funding priorities include:
- undergraduate summer research and internship scholarships;
- field seminars and activities;
- service learning activities;
- guest lecture series;
- study abroad scholarships;
- conference attendance:
- UConn Connects scholarships;
- web-based study skills assessments; and
- summer leadership training.
Please give. No amount is too small. Every gift counts.
